Redeemed
If you ask me, we all are selfish human beings. And there is nothing inherently wrong about that. Don't take it from me, ask our father of capitalism,
“It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest."Or,
"The urge to heroism is natural, and to admit it, honest. For everyone to admit it would probably release such pent-up force as to be devastating to societies as they now are.
The question that becomes then the most important one that man can put to himself is simply this: how conscious is he of what is doing to earn his feeling of heroism?"
Not believing the case is just naivety.
I thought of that over and over again, as I gained so much contentment from just one day in a small village there.
You know what, through all of the shitshows happened in 2020 - this is may all redeemed.
