the awfully limited time we have

I don't know whether we have scientific data on this but it'd be safe to say that I guess some of you, have experienced waiting for sunset. Beautiful, aren't they?

I always cherish them. I savor them, to be exact. A whole day could go somewhat disastrous but seeing the sky gracefully turns to dusk as the sun slowly goes down... They ignite a gratitude and contentment in me like no other.

With all this work-from-home routine, now I have the privilege to try to go outdoors now to witness it. Perhaps with a good book and few plants that I recently adopted. This is a luxury for me, my previous routine wouldn't very much likely to offer the same opportunities. Yesterday was one of the luckier days where I could go up to my balcony quite early and devour the transition more. And then I realized,

It went so fast.

The sunset, the time when the sky really turns to an orange milkshake lasts very short. Afterwards, it's complete darkness.

Which made me think,

If we only will cherish its best moment, it lasted only quick seconds.

Like having your cup of coffee just at the right temperature before it gets cold. The amount to get to it and the moment afterwards last way longer.

If we're only there for the sunsets, what an awfully limited time that we have, my dear.
